This 21st EuChemS Division of Analytical Chemistry’s Biannual meeting is hosted by the Section Analytical Chemistry (SAC) of the Royal Dutch Chemical Society (KNCV) and COAST, the Dutch Community of Innovation for Analytical Science and Technology.

The EuroAnalysis series of conferences stands in a long tradition of broadly oriented discussions of all aspects of analytical chemistry. Moreover, the Netherlands comprises several major roots of analytical chemistry and technology that dates back to the pioneering research by Izaak Kolthoff in innovative analytical methods during the first World War. Following this spirit, our philosophy for the 21st EuroAnalysis is to enable the EU’s Societal Challenges with Analytical Chemistry Solutions. We believe that revolutions in resolution, analysis of intact systems, bringing the lab to the sample, and assuring the availability of well-trained analytical chemists are all needed in order to combat the challenges ahead. We hope you will share this mission with us and are looking forward to an inspiring EuroAnalysis event in The Netherlands in 2021.

Our philosophy for the 21st EuroAnalysis is to support the EU’s Societal Challenges by making Analytical Chemistry ready for the future. Our focus will be on increasing resolution, on analysing intact systems, on bringing the lab to the sample and on intensifying education. We want to make the focus on the future an intrinsic part of EuroAnalysis 2021, addressing both educational and scientific challenges that permeate throughout all subdisciplines of analytical chemistry.

Topics for EuroAnalysis2021 include:

  •     The broad range of analytical technologies and instrumentation
  •     Analytical challenges
    • Bringing the lab to the sample
    • Intact analysis systems – analysis of intact systems
    • Revolutions in resolution
  •     Analytical solutions for EU’s societal challenges
    • Health, demographic change and wellbeing
    • Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research, and the Bio Economy
    • Secure, clean and efficient energy
    • Smart, green and integrated transport
    • Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials
