The laboratory for Marine Bioanalytical Chemistry is doing scientific research at the interface between instrumental analytical chemistry and micro- and molecular biology. Our mission is to determine the nature, extent and function of chemical interactions in coastal ecosystems, including the cause and effect relationships of naturally occurring bioactive compounds and of anthropogenic trace substances on marine organisms. Great emphasis is laid on the application-orientated optimization of the complete analytical process.
