The EUROBIC Conference emerged from the merger of two disctinct and separate Scientific events: The Swiss-Italian SIMBIC Conference and the French-German SAMBAS Conference. It was the product of a well thought out decision by European Chemists and Biologists to raise awareness and provide due publicity to the fledgeling multidisciplinary research field of Biological Inorganic Chemistry worldwide. As a result of this common idea, EUROBIC was born and was implemeted through the organization of the first Conference in Newcastle in 1992. Since its inception, EUROBIC has been a successful event attracting scientists from both Biology and Chemistry, working concertedly to bring to light new discoveries in the interface of the two Sciences.
