The scientific program will deal with all areas of mass spectrometry from fundamental to
applied reseach in chemistry, physics, biology, medicine, geology and related disciplines.

The program will begin on Sunday, August 30 with tutorial lectures at 4:00 pm and the opening session and the first plenary lecture at 5:45 pm.  A conference mixer will be held in the foyer of the conference building.


Monday through Friday will be full program days of concurrent oral sessions, poster sessions, and workshops starting in the morning at 8:00 am with a plenary lecture.Poster sessions are scheduled after the coffee break in the morning and in the afternoon at 9:00 am and 4:15 pm respectively to allow 3 hours of viewing time for posters with the authors present.  Please note that all posters will be showed at least 2 days throughout the conference ensuring ample time for scientific discussions. There will be 5 paralell oral sessions every day, in total 4 hours allowing the presentation of keynote and short lectures. The conference finishes on Friday afternoon with an invitation to Kyoto for the 2011 meeting. A farewell drink after the last plenary lecture and the closing ceremony will allow last discussions and concludes a intense scientific week. A time schedule can be downloaded by this link.


The planned program incorporates 7 plenary lectures and approx. 15 keynote lecture from all areas of mass spectrometry. Please see this page for further detail by end of August 2008.


The exhibition will be open all day from from Monday August 31 til September 4, 2009. Workshops in the evening from Monday to Wednesday and user meetings on Saturday August 29 and Sunday 30, 2009, as well as lunch seminars conclude the program.
