Welcome on the Second International IMBG Meeting dedicated to "Metals in Biocatalysis: From Metalloenzymes to Bio-Inspired Systems". The Institute of Metals in Biology of Grenoble will organize from the 24th to 27th of September 2006 its biannual conference. This meeting will take place in Autrans, a village located in the Vercors regional park, 25 km away from Grenoble.

The purpose of this conference is to attract scientists from Europe and abroad belonging to the bio-inorganic community, binding chemists and biologists, in order to build-up a new place for international scientific exchange and to introduce our local community.
Each meeting is devoted to a special topic. In 2006 "Metals in Biocatalysis: From Metalloenzymes to Bio-Inspired Systems" has been selected. The conference will comprise plenary lectures, session lectures and posters sessions as well. The relevant topics will concern:
  • Bio-inspired catalysts,
  • Structural biocatalysis,
  • Metalloprotein design,
  • Mechanisms.
