EVISA - a Speciation Event Organizer

In view of EVISA's goal to initiate, coordinate, and support  activities meant to promote speciation analysis, EVISA is acting as an event organizer.
Speciation events are meant to improve in the medium- and long-term the knowledge and know-how of scientists:
  • Round table discussions clarifying the status of existing methodology and highlighting open issues.
  • Workshops on speciation related topics providing an in-depth information on state-of-the-art speciation analysis with emphasis on real world issues
  • Symposia and conferences devoted to speciation giving the opportunity to meet scientist from different disciplines for enhancing the multidisciplinary cooperation.

The following events were organized or co-organized by EVISA up to now:
  1. Workshop and Training Course on Chromium Speciation in Industry, Environment, Occupational Health and Food, with Legislative Aspects, Jozef Stefan Institute, May 3-4, 2004, Ljubljana, Slovenia
  2. EVISA Workshop on Mercury Speciation Analysis, Umeå, Sweden, March, 27-28,2006
  3. TraceSpec 2007: 11th Workshop on Progress in Analytical Methodologies for Trace Metal Speciation, September 4-7, 2007, Münster, Germany (200 participants from 30 countries)
  4. TraceSpec 2009: 12th Workshop on Progress in Analytical Methodologies for Trace Metal Speciation,September 15-18, Mainz, Germany
  5. TraceSpec 2011: 13th Workshop on Progress in Trace Metal Speciation for Environmental Analytical Chemistry, May 18-20, Pau, France
  6. METALLOMICS 2011: 3rd International Symposium on Metallomics, June 15-18, Münster, Germany (322 participants from 39 countries)
  7. EWCPS 2015: European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry, February 22-26, 2015, Münster, Germany (717 participants from 45 countries)
