The International Conference on Environmental and Biological Aspects of Main-group Organometals has been running since 1986 and focuses on the interactions between disciplines dealing with organometallic synthesis, organometallic reactivity, analytical and environmental issues related to organometallic compounds, and finally biological and toxicological aspects of organometallic compounds. This conference aims at bringing together scientists from different disciplines to generate fruitful discussions, cross breeding of fields and better understanding of chemical reactivity and impact of organometallic compounds in the environment.

FORMAT OF MEETING

Each day would start with a plenary of 30 minutes and different 15 minutes talks in succession to cover the main Topic of the day. To cover all aspects of the ICEBAMO conferences, The plenary lectures  will cover every day Synthesis and reactivity, analytical chemistry, and toxicology and environmental fate. The 15 minutes communications are designed for maximum information delivered aill a general discussion lead by the chairman.

The poster overview is chaired by two persons.  Their task is to highlight work from the poster sessions (with the help of some hand made overheads etc) bringing the poster presenters into the discussion to expand/explain particular points.  All posters should remain for the entire meeting, but each day is devoted to a particular theme (1 Synthesis and Properties.  2 Analysis.  3 Environmental and Toxicological Aspects). The poster session is planned to be an important moment of exchange.

Hot topic format is informal (with wine) with two persons leading the discussion.  They could start the discussion by presenting different views of the topic based on the most recent work.  And then get the views of the wine-relaxed audience.
