Novel instrumentation and analytical strategies are key to the success of the meeting and new developments have often been introduced during the meeting and this is again anticipated. An attractive oral and poster session will take place in a relaxed format to allow maximum interaction between the participants. Introductory courses will stimulate newcomers to enter the exciting world of LC/MS.

Important trends like miniaturization and automation will be on the program and also highlights from strategic industrial developments impacting on the LC/MS field as for example within the pharmaceutical industry. Novel approaches in drug discovery and development will be discussed such as proteomics, metabolomics, systems biology, target and biomarker discovery, novel bioanalytical methodology and impurity screening but also lead selection and optimization using novel LC/MS platforms. In addition the developments in agriculture, chemical biotech and environmental areas are well covered.

The exhibition is key to the conference and all major companies involved in LC/MS will be present, while ample time is available in the program for discussions and introduction into novel concepts and instruments.
