  • Speciation Analysis, especially of tin, selenium and arsenic in environmental and biological matrices. Participation in intercomparison and certification exercises for the EU.
    Utilization of industrial byproducts. Extraction of scandium and lanthanides from red mud in laboratory and pilot-plant scale.
  • Preparation and Characterization of powders and coatings of superconductors (YBCO, BSCCO, MgB2).
  • Trace element analysis by voltammetric, spectroscopic and hyphenated techniques.
  • Size fractionated sampling (PM10/PM2.5) of airborne particulate matter and determination of heavy metals and other elements by spectroscopic (INAA, ICP-AES, XRF) and voltammetric techniques.
