Research interests include trace metal and metalloid speciation, biochemical pathways for the transformation of metal and metalloid species, and the use of organisms as biomonitors of contamination. Major focus is on the development of analytical techniques to determine metal and metalloid accumulation, distribution, and cycling in terrestrial, estuarine, and marine ecosystems.
