In tests conducted by Varian, the analyis was completed in a little over half the time taken by conventional AA. When operating with:
- SPS autosampler
- 10 elements (Na, Ca, Cr, Cu, Mg, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Pb), 3 standards, 20 Samples
- air / acetylene flame
- PROMT mode with 5 sec read and 2 % precision, 10 second read delay
- Multielement lamps: Cr/Cu/Mn/Fe/CoNi, Ca/Mg, Na, Pb
- All other parameters at default setting
